Agree on a safe word and where the cuffs will go before you start. Close them snug, never tight: you should fit a finger between cuff and wrist. Keep both keys where you can both reach them, and take the cuffs off at any numbness or tingling. Wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth after use and dry fully before storing.
